Team member of Joint Reaction Health Center Since 2013
Alyssa grew up in a small town south of Ottawa, and became passionate about sports and fitness at a young age. She is a competitive horseback rider who enjoys spending the majority of her time outdoors.
Alyssa recently graduated from Algonquin College with a degree in Fitness and Health Promotion. During her schooling at Algonquin she became very interested in sports injuries and decided to do her placements in Physiotherapy settings, and eventually became so interested in this area she sought out work in a Physiotherapy clinic (Joint Reaction).
Working at Joint Reaction, she came to realize how much the mind plays a role in developing and exacerbating pain and other symptoms, as well as how fast and how well people can get better. This has lead her towards taking classes towards a degree in Psychology at Carleton University and ultimately Occupational Therapy.
Alyssa's calm demeanor, attention to detail, familiarity with sports injuries and friendly personality make her a valuable team member here at Joint Reaction and a welcome addition to our team.
